Your project?

Let’s create the next big thing together.

Why hire me?

TL;DR: I really enjoy being paid for doing excellent work with brilliant people.

I simply love to transform insights and ideas into memorable user experiences with great visual execution and high usability. Through 8+ years designing, I’m comfortable with leading big and small design initiatives from zero to launch and beyond, or build upon existing frameworks.

I either couple with agencies or am embedded in your product team alongside engineers, designers, PMs etc.

No more headaches—I strive to make working with me the simplest part of your project.

What’s it like working with you?

Think of me as a trusted friend with your best interests at heart. I will focus on your business goals, not my personal style. While I do take pride in what I do, I don’t take things personally nor am I overly defensive about it. I value transparency, and will communicate at a very clear level. I prioritise iterative sharing, providing regular updates through email, Slack or Loom to ensure quick feedback cycles.

Do you accept all projects?

Nope. I only take on projects where I’m convinced I can move the needle. And I appreciate collaborating with people who care about the business impact of design and high-quality craftsmanship.

How’s your design process?

All projects are different, of course. All in all, I strive to go fast. Together we’ll find the right balance of risk and speed – some areas of your product may need careful handling, while other functionality may be useful to ship immediately. Where I lack an understanding of the business or user goals, I aim to do just enough research before jumping into design and prototyping. I like to borrow as much of established interaction patterns as possible when I design. Where I see fit, I prototype alternative patterns or flows and run user tests early to see if it all makes sense. Also, I love to add details that raise the bar for craft and delight, making even the smallest software moments more joyful.

How do you price your work?

By the hour: NOK 1300 (∼115€) excl. VAT. A typical engagement is in a 80–100% capacity for 3–6 months, but could also be several years.

Can you work in our office?

Yes, if you’re based in Oslo, Norway. Else I have years of experience working remotely, which I enjoy. If desired, I’m happy to travel every now and then to meet you face to face.

So. What else goes on in your life?

I have a girlfriend, a daughter, and a curly dog. I enjoy cooking and working out. My forever ongoing life project is learning Italian, and my latest obsession is creating eastern European 80s aerobic music with AI.
